Sunday's fireside will feature musical presentations by Michael Hardey and Brigham Welch.
Michael Hardey Back in the summer of 1979, Michael's mom woke up to the sound of a simple melody coming from the piano in the family room. Recognizing the tune, she jumped out of bed and followed the sound. To her surprise, she found Michael, her 4 year old son, sitting at the piano, for the first time, playing a primary song. The following Sunday, she remembers Mike coming home from church, and again, sitting down at the piano, playing new primary songs. It was at an early age that Michael discovered his ability to play by ear. Michael's parents quickly acknowledged his gift and started him in piano lessons. After attending a lesson, Michael decided it wasn't for him. Over the years, Michael has continued to develop his musical talent and has found music to be a source of inspiration to him. He realizes the influence that music can have on people and the spirit that it can bring into their lives. Mike feels very humbled and blessed for the opportunities he has had to share his talent, and for the unconditional support he receives.
